Comic Geeks is for tracking and discussing comics. What’s New - Added a Wanted/Not Wanted filter- Added Previews accessible from Variants- Various bug fixes and optimizations Ratings and Reviews Brilliant This App is genuinely brilliant, it is so slick and easy to use. You can keep a collection of your current collection. You can scan the barcode of the comic to find it quicker and pull and follow current comic runs. I have tried a few and the fact this is free and this good, compared to others where you have to pay is a god send. Really recommend this app. Nothing works, no bulk edit tools, very ugly looking I wanted an app to keep track of my collection, using it to see what back issues I still need etc, but nothing works. The filters do not filter any of the comics in the lists. The language they use in the UI is incredibly vague and it’s all very dated and ugly looking. Marking issues as read or owned is hidden behind a sub-menu when it should be surface level, it’s a core feature, and if you want to mark multiple comics as owned or read at once forget about it, enjoy opening the same submenu on over 1000 comics. Then you go to use these marks as filters, and they don’t work. Garbage. The functionality is just bad, maybe its good for people who buy current comics, I don’t know. But if you’re looking for something to track your entire collection of back issues, stick to a spreadsheet. You could do more making

Comic strips Sign in to your CBR account The earliest comic books were published in the 1930s and were reprints of newspaper comic strips. In other words, comic book fans have comic strips to thank for the medium that they love. While most of the most well-known comic strips were born on the pages of the Comics sections of newspapers, not all comic strips are newspaper comics. Some comic strips are webcomics. Others were written and drawn to appear for the first time in a book collection of comic strips. The best comic strip collections feature the best comic strip titles and probably contain strips significant to its legacy and/or offer insight into its creation. 10 Wired Up Wrong Clever and Heartwarming Autobiographical Comics About Mental Health Wired Up Wrong is a book of autobiographical comic strips about mental health by Rachael Smith, a comic artist in the United Kingdom who also worked on Titan Comics’ Doctor Who. Wired Up Wrong has a relatively lightheaded tone, allowing the reader to more easily swallow the heavy and sensitive themes of anxiety, insecurities, depression, medication, self-injury, and suicide. Wired Up Wrong doesn’t have nearly the same legacy as most of the comic strips featured in this list, but it’s still one of the best comic strip collections. It will make readers laugh, cry, and feel not so alone. Since Wired Up Wrong’s original publication in 2017, Smith wrote and drew Stand in Your Power, a comic strip collection about her experiences coping with a breakup, and Quarantine Comix, a comic strip collection about life during the Covid-19 shutdown. She’s currently working on Nap Comix, a collection of comic strips about her life as a new mom. In Wired Up Wrong, Smith drew herself as the central character, Adam, who was her boyfriend at the time, and her cat, Rufio. Wired Up Wrong also features a dog, Barky, who represents her unhealthy thoughts and negative emotions. When these thoughts and feelings aren’t consuming her, Barky is drawn as a shadowy black shape taunting her. When they become more debilitating, Barky becomes a giant brown dog, and Smith depicts herself as snuggling into his fur. This is because she’s no longer wrestling with Barky in these instances and instead allowing her internal demons to consume her. In an interview, Smith said that no names or likenesses are changed in her autobiographical comics, but she. Raj comics. A two-page gallery of nine instances of other comic strips, such as Peanuts, The Far Side, and Marmaduke, referencing Garfield and a gallery of Garfield logos that appeared in the first panel of Sunday strips. Garfield At 25: In Dog Years I'd be Dead has similar sections, such as a gallery of Garfield postcards, but it has far fewer comic strips. For this reason, 20 Years and Still Kicking: Garfield's Twentieth Anniversary Collection remains the best Garfield collection. 6 Pearls Before Swine: Sgt. Piggy’s Lonely Hearts Club Comic A Comic Strip Collection About Life, Death, and Everything in Between Starring anamorphic animals named after the animals they are, Pearls Before Swine explores themes of death, meaning, and the world's chaos with irony and visual humor. It's named after the Bible verse, Matthew 7:6, which contains the phrase, “Do not cast your pearls before swine,” meaning don’t impart wisdom on those who won’t appreciate it. This is a pun because Rat, a cynical and snarky loudmouth, often feels this is what he’s doing when talking to Pig, a literal swine who is kind-natured and naïve. Pearls Before Swine also stars Goat, a character often annoyed at Rat and Pig because he’s more educated and informed than them, and a family of crocodiles who always fail at killing their zebra neighbors. Roughly half the strips in Pearls Before Swine treasuries, which collect the strips in the previous two collections, have notes under them from Pearls Before creator Stephen Pastis. Pearls Before Swine: Sgt. Piggy’s Lonely Hearts Club Comic is the first Pearls Before Swine treasury and showcases where it all began. The strips in this book were made before Pastis started drawing himself as a character to make meta-commentary, but it still had plenty of other laughs, including a strip where Pig orders bacon and says it's a "pig-eat-pig world." 5 The Comics: The Complete Collection Collecting Two Centuries of Newspaper Comic Strips and the Stories Behind Them The Comics: The Complete Collection is a beautiful, hardcover book published in 2002 that’s more than a foot tall and nearly 700 pages long. It’s part reference book, part history book and part comic strip collection. The first pages of The Comics: The Complete Collection thoroughly debunk the myth that the first comic strip was published in 1896. The Introduction reprints Armed Heroes, an illustration with word balloons for dialogue drawn in 1803 by
