Call Center CRM Setup (Release 9 and Below) Installing the Call Center CRM Software To install Voicent Call Center CRM software on a server computer, simply select Call Center CRM along with other products. To install it on a different computer, download Voicent software installer, run it, choose Client Program. Follow the onscreen instructions and continue with the setup wizard. Enable Call Center CRM on Voicent Gateway By default, Voicent Call Center CRM is not enabled. To enable it, open Voicent Gateway main window, select Setup > Setup Call Center CRM. (Please note Voicent Gateway may be installed on a different computer than the manager's). Select Enable Call Center CRM. Optionally, you can setup a CRM password. Connect to Voicent Gateway From Call Center CRM program main menu, select Manage > Connection Wizard, and follow the onscreen instruction to connect to Voicent Gateway. Voicent Gateway is an open-standard based, advanced server software product that links telephones with computers. The system makes it possible to develop interactive telephone applications rapidly. Voicent Gateway supports VoiceXML, an open standard adopted by the W3C organization. This open standard is a high level interface for developing interactive telephony applications. VoiceXML based applications can utilize a gateway to make the actual phone calls and do not need to deal with lower level telephone programming. Both inbound and outbound calls are supported. Test-to-speech and speech recognition capabilities are part of the built-in gateway features.Systems with similar capabilities normally require expensive telephony hardware to run. Voicent Gateway, on the other hand, only requires a voice modem. Voicent Gateway is also capable of supporting multiple phone lines by putting multiple modems into a computer.
