For the past year and a half, my laptop has had issues. I cannot simply upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 without doing a clean install because Windows Update, Security Essentials, Defender, Indexing and other things stop working when I make the jump to the larger HD I need. I know that it installed and ran on Windows 8 (without Acrobat), but for some reason the install fails in Windows 7. I have tried cleaning the disc, of course. The only reason I have a computer is to run this suite of programs.
