Dan Campbell's Electric Locker Room Speech After

Dan Campbell and Dan Skipper (Photo via @Lions/X)The Detroit Lions left everything on the field as they pulled through another immense challenge to win their 11th consecutive game of the season and their 12th overall. One player, in particular, appeared to have pushed himself to the limit, as he was shown throwing up while head coach Dan Campbell gave his postgame locker-room speech following the 34-31 win over the Green Bay Packers.Journeyman offensive lineman Dan Skipper was apparently puking his guts out while Campbell was speaking, firing the coach up even more. The video below shows Skipper bent over during the speech, with Cambell egging him on.“There you go Skip, keep throwing up! Whatever you’re doing over there!” he declared.“That’s the way to freaking lay it on the line,” he added.“there’s not a guy in that organization that won’t go through a wall for him. they will go all the way this year,” a fan predicted.“Giving out medical advice is against the CBA. Fine or a possible suspension coming,” another joked.“Haha, that’s classic Dan Campbell,” someone laughed. The Detroit Lions Are Set For Another Tough ChallengeThe Detroit Lions are looking stronger with every game, and there’s a belief that they could go all the way this season. They’re certainly favored to win the NFC.Still, they’ve got what could be one of their toughest tests coming up next week as they’re scheduled to face the red-hot Buffalo Bills. If the Bills remain true to form and play like they’ve been playing lately, Skipper will likely throw up again. Of course, Campbell won’t mind as long as the Lions get the win. While it didn't look like it would have been expected to going in, with just 225 yards of offense, the Lions took care of business on Sunday against the overmatched Tennessee Titans. Quite simply, teams who are supposed to be good beat teams that are so overtly bad by 38 points, regardless of how it looks. The Titans didn't just roll over, as the Lions' coaches expected over the course of the week coming in, but after a quarter-plus of action they couldn't hide their broad ineptitude anymore and the Lions made them pay.As expected, Campbell did not disappoint in the postgame locker room after the win over the Titans."You guys came out to play. You came out to play, man. That's a huge win. That's what we're supposed to do, That's what champions do. You don't care what time of year it is. What the record is, what the weather is. It doesn't matter. You just show up and do what you do.""Here's the thing. Let's call a spade a spade. That was not our best performance. Really on offense/defense, and there was a couple things special teams. But do you know what happens? Man, when you do and get the returns and production out of special teams that we got, holy crap. Those returns, men? The return units, outstanding. 'Leaf, holy crap...And then you get four takeaways on defense? And then in the red zone, what were we in the red zone? 100 percent. 5-for-5 in the red zone. Men...holy crap. Right? Good things happen."Campbell gave out one game ball to special teams coach Dave Fipp, and another to wide receiver Kalif Raymond for this work on Sunday (190 punt return yards and a touchdown and a receiving touchdown).Check out the full video of Sunday's postgame locker room below, with an epic speech from Fipp and a more subdued speech from Raymond following Campbell. As the Lions stack wins, each week's postgame locker room is a glimpse into how unified the team is. That is obviously led by Campbell, who has fostered that culture from the start.

The Boston Red Sox recently made a bold move.Boston and Alex Bregman danced around each other all offseason. There were rumors tying the two sides together for months, but Boston didn’t end up signing him until February. The Red Sox landed him on a three-year, $120 million deal with opt outs. Bregman’s defensive position isn’t clear yet, but he’s going to play a massive role where manager Alex Cora puts him. His bat is just what the Red Sox need from the right side of the plate and there was chatter about how great of a locker room guy he is.He wasted no time proving this and almost immediately sat down with the “big 3” of Kristian Campbell, Marcelo Mayer, and Roman Anthony, according to WEEI’s Rob Bradford."Alex Bregman could have eased into his new existence," Bradford said. "Nope. On that Friday when Bregman was formally introduced as a member of the Red Sox via an 8:30 a.m. press conference, the team's top three prospects - Kristian Campbell, Roman Anthony, and Marcelo Mayer - decided to gather for a quick meal in the cafeteria. Steak. Chicken. Rice. And ... Bregman."The new Sox infielder walked over, sat down and started what would be an hour conversation with the three prospects. I wouldn’t say it took me by surprise, but it was definitely appreciated,' Mayer recounted. "The guy just signed for $120 million and you don’t expect him to sit down and talk to three minor leaguers like that. We had a great talk. He already loves being here and he is super-excited about the future. It’s great seeing that caliber of player sit down and talk shop with us.'"Bregman has been with Boston for just a few weeks and already is attempting to take the young guys under his wing. He's likely going to be a great player in Boston, but he can do much more than that. He's a championship-level player and is going to be a massive voice in this clubhouse. Apparently Caleb Williams will now need to alter his scrambling maneuvers or face winding up like Trevor Lawrence did, or worse. The Lions-Bears game later this month at Soldier Field looms even more interesting now after it was revealed on the Amon-Ra St. Brown podcast how Dan Campbell told his team to treat Williams along the sidelines if he tries anything tricky by faking as if he was going out of bounds on a scramble."The craziest part is before the game, in our team meeting, Dan was talking to us and was showing us clips of Caleb going out of bounds, going back in, going back in, going out," St. Brown said. "He said, 'No you don't.' The beginning of it was, 'No you don't,' and then it was clips of him doing that. (Campbell) said, 'I already warned the refs, the refs already know.' "So when it happened in the game, I'm like, I already knew there was no flag because he was about to go out of bounds, came back in. Jack (Campbell) hit his ass, everyone was like, 'Yeah.' All the Bears were like, 'What the? That's a flag.' We're like, 'Bro, he literally went out and came back in and took it.' "𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: #Lions HC Dan Campbell told his defense before the game to HIT Bears QB Caleb Williams when he tries to go in and out of bounds:"If he does this, we're going to hit his A**; I already warned the refs; the refs know."😳😳😳pic.twitter.com/LwY0vLcb0s— Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) December 4, 2024Actually, he didn't go out of bounds or it would have been a penalty. Williams only led them to believe he was going out of bounds by the way he pulled up near the boundary. He never really got within a few feet of the line. As a result it was entirely a legal hit, although it certainly looked like linebacker Jack Campbell had specifically targeted his knees with a legal shoulder shot when wrapping up and tackling would have sufficed. pic.twitter.com/HIZEL8MtyR— No Context Chicago Bears 🐻 (@BearsNoContext) November 28, 2024Williams called it a "funky" play
