A gaming driver with same version number also has been released. viewtopic.php?f=21&t=104082---- below retained for historical context ------------Normally the advice is to use the latest NVIDIA driver and if a "Studio" driver is offered for you GPU to use that instead. But recent issues have cropped up and until they are solved my recommendations are:--GPUs for NVIDIA card series GTX/RTX 1xxx and 20xx:----- Use Studio Driver 431.86--Earlier GTX GPUs without an available "Studio" driver: Use gaming driver 436.48 or earlier.With "Studio" driver 441.12, it was discovered that GPU decoding of BM RAW would cause DR to freeze/hang. Multiple forumites have experienced this issue and solved it by reverting to Studio Driver 431.86. A review of NVIDIA's release notes for 441.12 does not list any new feature that would benefit DaVinci Resolve, I got the impression it may have been rushed out to support some new Adobe offerings.This is discussed on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=102152There have been complaints of general instability, it is not clear yet whether these might relate to later versions of NVIDIA drivers, but if you're experiencing them I recommend reverting your driver back before trying an earlier version of DR. So far DR 16.1.1 with 431.86 has been stable for me.Hopefully BMD will get to the bottom of this soon. In the meantime and until there is some clarification, I will try to keep this thread bumped to the front page of the forum.
