It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. #1 My Droid turbo is looking more than a little worse for wear. A few months after I got it, I had it plugged into a cheap charger and there was a power surge. Then there was smoke and it's never been the same since. I live in Canada, so I can't exactly take it in anywhere, and in spite of the fussy charging port it still works well. The real problem is I had to open it up more than once to investigate the status of the fussy charging port and now it won't completely close back up... yes I could put it in my lifeproof case, but part of having a droid turbo is that it is it's own case...Any how, I'm looking at new phones and I am just disappointed by everything. If I'm going to get something new I want it to be as durable as my Droid turbo with better cameras and expandable memory, but everything looks like a downgrade, except in the camera department. I'm thinking of just getting another droid turbo. I haven't heard good things about the Droid Turbo 2, but some how the X Force gets nothing but praise, I'm confused, aren't they the same phone. #2 I haven't heard good things about the Droid Turbo 2, but some how the X Force gets nothing but praise, I'm confused, aren't they the same phone. The same hardware (except the radios), but far less bloatware on the X Force. If you don't need CDMA, I hear good things about the One Plus 3 (no expandable memory, though) and it is inexpensive. 2025-03-31Last Updated: Fri Jan 10 2025 | In the vast majority of cases, you can simply connect your Android device with Droid Transfer and access all of your SMS and MMS conversations from the Messages section. This is detailed in our Droid Transfer user guide. However, some users may encounter issues when loading their device content, such as "Failed to Load Messages" or "Error Loading Messages" or even in other sections like File with an "Error Loading Files". This is often caused by insufficient permissions in either Droid Transfer or the Transfer Companion app. The guide below will help you troubleshoot this issue so that you can successfully view and copy your messages in Droid Transfer. How to resolve "Error Loading Messages" in Droid Transfer Step 1: Update Droid Transfer & Transfer Companion We regularly update Droid Transfer to provide new features, enhancements and bug fixes. As such, it is important to keep your software up to date, for the best possible performance. Check for updates in Droid Transfer by going to Settings -> Updates. You can download the latest version of Droid Transfer here. You'll also need the latest version of Transfer Companion from the Google Play Store on your Android device. Step 2: Grant app permissions for Transfer Companion on your Android device Open your Android's Settings. Go to "Apps" or "Application Manager" (depending on your device, this may look different). Select "Transfer Companion". Tap "Permissions" and enable all required permissions. If the issue persists, find out how to set further app permissions. Step 3: Run Droid Transfer as Administrator Windows 11 Click the search box in the taskbar at the bottom of your screen. Search "Droid Transfer". Select "Run as administrator". Older versions of Windows Right-click the Droid Transfer icon on your Desktop or in your Programs folder. Click "Properties" and then go to the "Compatibility" tab. Enable "Run this program as an administrator". Then click "Apply" and then "OK". Finally, launch Droid Transfer, connect your Android and attempt to access Messages again. If you have completed these steps and Droid Transfer is still not loading your messages, click on the "Run compatibility troubleshooter" in the Compatibility tab, as per image above to allow Windows to resolve the issue.
