YES / NO --> rendermaster reviewed v2.0 SR1 Beta 9 (EPX 1.0.32) on Feb 8, 2004 --> I've used e-prompter since its initial offering and it is one of the pieces of software that I couldn't live without. I'm aware of no other program that can check e-mail from so many different sources within the same software and best of all, ITS STILL FREE! Many of e-prompters longtime users would glady pay for this software if necessary, but its authors have continued to offer it for free.If you want a great piece of software that doesn't tax your resources and is easy to use, then look no further! YES / NO --> Floodland reviewed v2.0 SR1 Beta 9 on Feb 2, 2004 --> Ziria, do you have any idea of how smtp/pop3/http mail works? Actually, you MUST autenticate to retrieve messages, and for that, OF COURSE that your login/password have to be sent (to your mail server). The problem COULD be if eprompter tries to transfer that information to 3rd parties, and I never saw that in eprompter. Could you extend your test to see if user/pass were not

While we're on the topic anyway, what's Hotmail's server? Thanks,Demon Although I'm sure there may be others here who understand the technicalities of it better than I, I assume that poppeeper doesn't use POP3 to access your yahoo email, but rather, as with ePrompter which I use, it's designed to circumvent the usual web access in some fashion, but actually using that protocol, not POP, in order to access your yahoo inbox. Version 2.0 of ePrompter, which I've been using for awhile now, has been accessing my hotmail account okay. However, the free version does have a limit of 16 accounts, whereas I don't recall whether poppeeper has a similar limitation. When I tried poppeeper some time ago, though, I had technical problems with it. but not having tried it for quite awhile now, they may have since fixed the apparent bugs which bedeviled me at that time.
2025-04-20Transmited to YOUR proovider? That is absolutely normal and mandatory to retrieve your mail.I found this program usefull, it only lacks to act as pop3 server to retrieve message and use any pop3 client to store them on your machine, as hotpop or yahoopop does. But is small, works and seems not to spy. YES / NO --> bbhermit reviewed v2.0 SR1 Beta 7 on Jan 20, 2004 --> I love this program! Been looking for something like it awhile now. However, I'm using Windows Me, and on system shutdown, I get an ePrompter fault error, hence the 4 stars. No biggie, as long as it works! If the previous poster had run a packet monitor before running any other email prog then he would have seen them do the same thing as eprompter. Somebody is a little too quick to yell "wolf". :P BTW GLAD to see this prog finally updated. :) YES / NO --> jadit2 reviewed v2.0 SR1 Beta 7 on Jan 19, 2004 --> Program works great........but can someone verify that this program is actually safe (doesnt harvest emails)? For starters, its no longer buggy, and seems to be pretty stable. I love the ability to choose my own .wav file for notification, plus the new layouts are simply slick. On the negative side though, theres still no support for GMail yetOverall, this version is a must-upgrade for every ePrompter fan! YES / NO --> leojei reviewed v2.0
