Links used in this discussion I'm a brand new user. I installed Viewer on my remote PC ok, but when I downloaded Host to my host PC, it went through the copying and installing phases, apparently successfully, BUT:a) there's no launch icon anywhere - how do I launch it?b) it didn't tell me, or ask me, what the Internet Id is.Can you advise please?ThanksBrian THello Brian, Thank you for your questions. a) there's no launch icon anywhere - how do I launch it?The Host runs as a system service and the default setting is to auto-start with Windows. You can tell if the Host is running by its icon in the system tray area (where the clock is). That said, the Host can still be set to start manually. Please, refer to this page for more information. b) it didn't tell me, or ask me, what the Internet Id is.You need to enable the Internet-ID in the host settings and then copy it to the Viewer to use as the address of the remote computer. This guide will help you set up an Internet-ID connection for your response to my question. I have uninstalled the Remote Utilities (Host version), and I also uninstalled the antivirus package just to be sure it wasn't interfering. And I edited the registry, and I deleted all the Remote Utilities files I could find. Then I rebooted and downloaded Remote Utilities again, but with the same results - it goes through the Install process, apparently successfully, asks me for a password etc. This time, I have noticed that the Remote Utilities icon DOES appear in the Taskbar, BUT ONLY during the install process - as soon as the process finishes, the icon disappears from the Taskbar.I'm wondering if I'm choosing the correct option on install - I get three choices when I ask to download the Host version, I get: Installable Host (.exe) Run-only agent (.exe) Installable Host (.msi)I'm using the first of these, which downloads a file called host6.10.exe in a folder called Remote Utilities. It does NOT get automatically run, I have to go Log in or Sign up MajorGeeks.Com Support Forums Home Forums > ----------= PC, Desktop and Laptop Support =------ > Software > You are using an out of date browser. A lot of people reading this website are technically-savvy and heroes when it comes to computer troubleshooting. In fact, many readers could earn a small fortune on the side just by offering online PC support and helping computer newbie's work through very simple computer issues. As massive social networks like Facebook brings millions of brand new computer users online every year, more and more Internet travelers are going to need help with simple things like how to check their email online, how to access their Facebook accounts with their mobile phone, and thousands of other questions that most of us could answer in less than five minutes. How do you offer such a service for these Internet latecomers? It's easy, you offer online tech support that's available whenever you're online (and you and I both know that's pretty much all the time.) Here at MakeUseOf, we love chat services. Tim offered a few cool ways to add chat to your website, and MUO also covered Olark, a live chat widget for your website. Today, in the spirit of my usual theme of ways to earn extra income, I would like to offer another easy business idea - using the free LiveZilla chat system in combination with Paypal to sell your expertise in the form of online PC support. Excited? I know I am - and it's so easy you'll be asking yourself why you didn't think of doing this before now! Using LiveZilla to Sell Online PC Support LiveZilla is a freeware live support software package that you install on both your web host and your PC. Note that you don't have to install any software on the web server itself, you only need to copy files over to your web hosting account - so there's no need to set up your own web server to make it work. If you have a web hosting account, you're good to go. There is one drawback to the software for our particular use. While it's the best free software available for offering online PC support, it doesn't provide any way to process payment for that service. That's okay, because I'll show you how you can integrate Paypal into the process so your website visitors can pay for the online PC support before the chat takes place. But first, you need to set up LiveZilla on your blog or website. When you first download and install the LiveZilla software to your PC or laptop, it will initially launch the admin software. This is where you can set up and configure the LiveZilla service. The first step is to install LiveZilla Server on your web host. The process is made simple by the fact(No root) Hosts Go on Windows Pc - Napkforpc.com

Copy Paste not working over Windows 10 RDP connectionCopy Paste not working over Windows 10 RDP connectionWhen I connect to a Windows 11 computer from my Windows 10 laptop, I can't copy/paste between the laptop and another computer in the RDP session. I don't know what to do to fix RDP copy and paste into working. Is there any advice?"It's annoying if you are unable to copy and paste to and from Remote Desktop (RDP) session in Windows 10/11, especially when you urgently need to transfer essential files from remote desktop to your local PC. When you are stuck in the same issue, keep reading to realize why copy-paste isn't working over RDP and how to enable copy and paste in Remote Desktop session. Causes and fixes to "unable to copy and paste to/from Remote Desktop session" Windows 10/11Various components like wrong Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) settings and rdpclip.exe not synchronizing in the RDP sharing chain can cause RDP copy-paste not to work. To fix it, you can restart rdpclip.exe, change RDC settings and configure Remote Desktop Services.Fix 1. Restart rdpclip.exe on the remote computerBased on many users' feedback, copy and paste can work after rdpclip.exe is restarted on the remote computer. Step 1. Access Task Manager on the remote computer after you press Windows + R, input taskmgr.exe, and click OK in the Remote Desktop Connection window. Note: Remote Desktop Clipboard is a Windows utility that enables you to manage a shared clipboard between a local host and remote desktop. It runs on the remote PC rather than on your local PC. Step 2. Go to Process, right-click rdpclip.exe and click End task. Step 3. Click File, choose Create new task, and input rdpclip.exe. Then, click OK to run rdpclip.exe. Then, you can try to copy files from remote desktop to your local PC or from local PC to the remote computer to see whether copy and paste can work. Fix 2. Check Remote Desktop Connection Settings on the local computerIf you still can't copy and paste to or from RDP session, you can check whether you have set up Remote Desktop Connection correctly. Step 1. End the current remote desktop session. On your local computer, press Windows + R, input "mstsc" to open Remote Desktop Connection.Step 2. On the pop-up window, go to Local Resources and check the box before Clipboard. Step 3. Go to General and establish a remote connection again to see whether you can copy and paste between the connected computers. Fix 3. Enable Clipboard redirection via Registry EditorSupposed that the issue unable to copy and paste files to/from Remote Desktop session occurs even after trying Fix 1 and Fix 2, you can enable clipboard redirection via Registry Editor on both the local computer and the remote computer. The steps are listed below.Step 1. Press Windows + R, input ”regedit” and press Enter to open Registry Editor.Step 2. Go to Computer>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Control>Terminal Server>WinStations>RDP-Tcp > fDisableClip.Step 3. Double-click fDisableClip and make sure the value data is setComments
