Golf Gang sees you playing golf as fast as possible against other players, all while wild rules make things sillier and more challenging with every shot.This game is a new, wacky golf game that brings a lot of bright color and fun into the golf genre. Playing in single player mode or online multiplayer, you will be looking to follow all of the normal rules of golf; getting a ball into an end hole as fast as possible and in the fewest number of shots to end up at the top of the leaderboard. It has a lot of different colorful and challenging environments you’ll see as you play, too. There are giant ramps, balloons in your line of sight that can be popped, lots of open water to get lost in, moving aspects, and more. If that isn’t enough to make Golf Gang stand out among other golf related games, there are lots of different mutations inside the multiplayer mode. These mutations can be turned on during the setup of your match. They do things like allow everyone on the map to jump with their ball, or you can trigger slow mode for everyone on the map when someone aims, which could be helpful. On a less helpful note, your ball can end up bigger with each click, or you can end up moving backwards every other shot if you want more challenge. One of my favorites is the mutation that makes your ball bigger with each shot, which is just really funny to see.In each of the two modes, you can earn mode-specific currency that then will allow you to unlock cosmetics. Not for your avatar (because you don’t have one) but instead for your ball. You can add different outfits to your, uh, ball. An umbrella maybe. Might want to add some eyes? None of this actually affects your gameplay, but is cute and a great way to spend the currency. Golf Gang feels like a great game for those who like speed running and want to challenge themselves against others. It doesn’t feel like a golf game – there is nothing slow or relaxing. Did I mention that you don’t even need to wait for your ball to stop moving to hit it again? You can race forward as fast as possible, quickly knocking your ball back onto the course as it dives into the water. Quick reactions will get you far! Golf Gang is available now on Steam.
