When Half-Life 2 and Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer finished installing, go to Properties of Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer tool. You can see here "Betas" - click on it. In "Beta Participation" select to "upcoming - upcoming". It will update Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer tool. When it is finished updating, quit Steam.After the Half-Life 2 20th Anniversary update, this update brokes the mod. But here is a solution - In Library right-click on Half-Life 2, select "Properties...". In "Betas" set "Beta Participation" to "steam_legacy - Pre-20th Anniversary Build". Wait for full updating. Restart Steam.Download "counterlife2.rar" archive in one of provided above links. When it is finished downloading, open this "counterlife2.rar" archive with WinRAR program. You will see "counterlife2" folder in this "counterlife2.rar" archive. Extract it usually to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods". Launch Steam.
