Marking issues as read or owned is hidden behind a sub-menu when it should be surface level, it’s a core feature, and if you want to mark multiple comics as owned or read at once forget about it, enjoy opening the same submenu on over 1000 comics. Then you go to use these marks as filters, and they don’t work. Garbage.The functionality is just bad, maybe its good for people who buy current comics, I don’t know. Surprised. However, as the chapters unfold and we see more and more into the characters, their lives, their pasts and presents… something just began to strike a chord. It reminded me of how it feels when you meet someone in real life; you begin with an impression of them that may just completely change for the better as you get know them more. By the end of the book, my heart went out to the both of them and they occupied a nice sweet place in my mind. The secondary characters, however, I loved absolutely immediately, to the point of wondering if we’d get stories about them all! I loved (almost) every single character and every moment they appear in is filled with joy, love and humour. The plot honestly was fairly simple and I enjoyed it immensely. I never realized the joy of simpler plots, especially after reading books that require to be so heavy on plot and world-building. Then again, simple plots can require more complexity in writing too because it’s based in reality, and Grey pulled it off just as she always does: with lots of humour, emotion and a happy ending (this isn’t a spoiler, anyone who reads R.S. Grey knows HEA is part of her every book). I would add that though this book says it's an enemies to lovers trope, it's more an enemies to lovers set-up.The pace for me picked up right after the 30% mark, but I do think that’s because I was figuring out the characters’ voices and acclimating to them. It’s likely that any other reader would not feel the dip and then rise as I did. The book just sped by after I got comfortable with it and suddenly I was done! The world is fairly well explained and I was on board from page one and the character voices remained suited to their personalities which thankyouGod. The book is simple, sweet and very enjoyable.
