It looks like Eleaf dropped the ball on programming and you have to hit both buttons at exactly the same time or the mod won't sense the button presses as an unlock sequence. It still comes from the battery.If you think about it - most mods these days charge at around 0.8-1A, and the batteries we use have to be good for up to around 20A of continuous discharge - around 20-25 the amount of current. There's simply not enough current coming in the charge port to vape with, especially on modern devices.I also think as someone else pointed out that it's not good for the life span of cells to vape on a full battery that is being constantly charged back up to 4.2V - it's well known that charging cells up to 4.05V instead of 4.2V gives around 2x the charge cycles and offers about 90% of the capacity of a full charge - a trade-off that seems well-worth it to me, at least.There still are some of those devices like sonicbomb posted an image of that plug into a USB and let you vape from them, but even they need at least a 2.5A power supply to work properly, and to be used with very low-power toppers, like the old EVODs and CE4-style ones.
