Kingdom Hearts Unchained X And Dark Road Have Been Removed From App Stores Sign in to your TheGamer account Summary Kingdom Hearts Unchained X and Dark Road have both been suddenly delisted from Android and Apple devices. Both games contained a ton of important plot elements that are essential to the mainline series and can now only be experienced on YouTube. It's possible that they'll be added to Missing Link, but there's been no word from Square Enix just yet. Kingdom Hearts Unchained X and Dark Road have both been suddenly delisted from App Stores, meaning the best way to experience their story is now through YouTube videos. The Kingdom Hearts series has always had a bit of a reputation for its "spin-off" games like Re:Coded, Chain of Memories, and Birth by Sleep being essential parts of the mainline series' plot. While I think that's overblown and that there aren't really any "spin-off" games anyway, that point is dampened a bit by the mobile games. Related Both Unchained X (previously known as Union X) and Dark Road contain a ton of important plot elements that you previously had to trudge through a bunch of gacha nonsense to reach. Mercifully, that was later changed as both games were bundled together and turned into one big cutscene compilation, finally giving fans a way to play without getting sucked into rolls. Looks like that isn't the case anymore. Kingdom Hearts Mobile Games Have Been Delisted As pointed out by Twitter user KHDatabase, Kingdom Hearts Unchained X/Dark Road has been removed from app stores on Apple and Samsung devices. The website for the bundle is still online and has all of the links in place, but all of them appear to be broken right now. I've tried to search for Unchained X/Dark Road on my iPhone, but can't find it anywhere. If you've downloaded Unchained X/ Dark Road in the past, then you can still download it from the Android Store. Better get that done fast before it's wiped from the ether. Square Enix hasn't officially announced that the apps are being delisted, so it comes as a bit of a shock. Considering how important Unchained X is to the rest of the series (with Strelitzia confirmed for Kingdom Hearts 4) it's a little wild to think her story can now only be experienced in 11-hour YouTube videos or through fan dubs. The game was last updated on September 29, 2022 into Ver. 5.0.1. to fix some dialogues and cutscenes, as well as fixing some bugs[3].Reception[]The game has currently a user score of 5.5 on Metacritic[4].Trivia[]The game brings up a throwaway conversation Riku and Joshua had in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Each world has its own flow of time. Primarily exampled is that despite over 80 years passing, the inhabitants of Wonderland haven't aged between Xehanort and Sora's visits. Many of the worlds are still rebooting, but plagued by Heartless. Agrabah is an example; the world is there, but no one has returned yet. Both "The Walrus and the Carpenter" and "You Are Old, Father William", two poems by Lewis Caroll, the author of Alice in Wonderland, are mentioned in-game.This game is the first in the series where a Disney character (Maleficent) causes the death of a Kingdom Hearts original characters, in this case, Hoder, Heimdall, Helgi and Sigrun. The new characters in this game all have names related to gods of the Norse mythology, such as Odin, Baldr etc.Despite that, they aren't like their mythological counterparts. As such, Hoder is a female in the game, but is a male in Norse mythology.Gallery[]Prologue[]Xehanort waking up after having a strange dream.Xehanort meeting the hooded figure. The hooded figure helps Xehanort going to a different world.Xehanort and Eraqus discuss on a bench in Scala ad Caelum.A view of Scala ad Caelum. The classroom.Episode 1: Unexpected Departure[]Master Odin giving a class. The student's Keyblade Armors.Xehanort and his friends attacked by the Heartless.Video[]KINGDOM HEARTS 20th ANNIVERSARY ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILERExternal links[]Official English sitev - e - d GamesKingdom Hearts (HD I.5 ReMIX/Soundtrack/Soundtrack Complete/HD I.5 ReMIX Soundtrack) • Chain of Memories • Kingdom Hearts II (HD II.5 ReMIX/HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue/Soundtrack/HD II.5 ReMIX Soundtrack ) • 358/2 Days • Birth by Sleep (Soundtrack) • coded • Dream Drop Distance (Soundtrack) • χ [chi] • Unchained χ/Union χ [cross] • Kingdom Hearts III • Dark Road • Melody of Memory • Missing-Link • Kingdom Hearts IVOther mediaMickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party • Agrabah (Kingdom Hearts pilot)Incorporated Films and ShortsAladdin/The Return of Jafar • Alice in Wonderland • Beauty and the Beast • Big Hero 6 • Cinderella • Fantasia • Frozen • Hercules • The Hunchback of Notre Dame • Lilo & Stitch • The Lion King • The Little Mermaid • Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers • Monsters, Inc. • Mulan • The Nightmare Before Christmas • Peter Pan • Pinocchio • Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl/Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End • Sleeping Beauty • Snow White.
