Up collision is to make a collision model that is imported into our package. For complex geometry this should be a simplified version of the mesh. For the sake of quickness, in my case I used the exact same mesh as my test mesh. The collision model is a separate object. If the model object seen in game is called mystaticmesh, the new object should be called UCX_mystaticmesh. The new object is moved exactly on top of the original mesh. I gave my new collision mesh a single unique material. Both objects are exported in the same .ase model file. The game picks up the prefix UCX and uses the second object as a collision model.Unfold the LODInfo menu and your various material slots should show up. Unlike the image below, your slots will all be empty at the moment.Starting with the first slot, unfold the material menuIn the generic browser window select the material you want to add to the mesh material slot. Then go back to the Static Mesh Editor and click the green arrow to the right of the material line, as shown above. That material will be added, and the corresponding section on your mesh will show textured in the preview window.Repeat this process for each material slot, selecting and adding the appropriate game material. One final thing, move the camera to a position you like in the preview window and click the little eye button on the button bar. This sets a cool new thumb nail image for your generic browser. When you're done, remember to save your package! And finally...the mesh with lighting compiledThat's about it....have fun :). API compatibility is not given as the product is not maintained. Example for Mesh Cut tool: MissingMethodException: Method not found: void UnityEditor.Handles.SphereCapDo not buy as it is not upgraded !3 years agoWhen people buy asset they hope publisher will update asset time to time.It works on Unity 2019.4.4f1 Mesh editor and cutter are really usefull and easy to use5 years agoI Tested Mesh Editor and Mesh cutter, the both works perfect but on mesh editor you have to erase the script added by the program on the created gameobject, and disable the update uv option, with this it works perfect and withouth errors,(i didnt tested the rest of the programs yet but at least the ones what i use works perfect, good programs, they will give you something very important for not waste a lot of time exporting models, editing them outside and reimport them, these 2 programs are a great time saver, and really reaaaally easy to use, not very deep like blender but you have the most important and used, so i dont need more, great programs, extremely useful for edit models inside unity, have these 2 programs its very important if you want to edit unity models fast.Easy to use and powerful set of tools, I use them a lot. This is a very powerful asset5 years agoThis asset works well on all versions of Unity 2018Does not work on newer versions of unity and author has stated he likely won't be updating it. I wish him well on his future endeavors, but obviously wouldn't recommend any one buy this asset since portions of it no longer function and it is essentially abandoned. Edit: Just to respond to the author. I appreciate your response. I assumed you were aware, but if not, your mesh editor and several of your other tools don't work in most (if not all) Unity 2019.x versions. They still work in Unity 2018 as far as I know. In many cases, your customers can't easily swap between Unity versions. How often is it that you can continually swap between separate projects and separate unity versions and maintain a steady workflow? Mesh modification usually requires a lot of tweaking and testing, including testing it in the current scene with current lighting, which is impossible for anyone using 2019.x. I will gladly update my review if you continue to support the asset, but I hope you can understand why I wouldn't recommend this asset to anyone using current versions of Unity, since parts of the asset are quite literally unusable. 来自发布商的回复:回复时间 5 years agoThank you for your review. It sounds like you found my forum post which explains my reasoning here at comes a time to take a rest or change projects for a while, I still don't know what the future holds. But I would have to disagree that this collection has been abandoned. I announced in the description that this program works between Unity versions 5.5 and 2019.2.0. I am still supporting the programs

Mesh Editor v1.4 Update - Mesh Maker

Though we must assign each area where a separate image will be applied an individual blender material. Each blender material must have a unique name, and I assign a unique colour to assist my identification of each section.A blender material is some thing like an undercoat, onto which we assign a texture. For Unreal models we don't actually have to assign a texture to the material. In order for in game images to be mapped correctly onto the mesh we must however unwrap the model. Because of this I do tend to go through the process of texturing my models in Blender. This is shown below. You are probably thinking 'wtf!' Remember these in Blender textures are only place holders. I have a set of Blender only 'checker board' textures I assign to materials. These help my orientate, scale and align UVW maps correctly. So I have made my mesh with one or more blender materials (in my case 5). I have UVW mapped (unwrapped) it. I have assigned temporary, place holder, textures. Now I am ready to export. For idtech games exporting multimaterial objects was a chore. A single mesh needed to be separated into individual objects, each with a single blender material. With complex multimaterial objects this was a real pain. For Unreal 3 models we can leave everything as it is...all I can say is WOOOOOOOT!I use the goofas ase script to export my mesh into .ase format, as shown above. Save your mesh to somewhere you will easily locate it!Now lets jump into UnrealEd. Open the editor and go to the generic browser, go to file, import then select the model you want to import into an unreal 'package'. If like me, you use custom textures, you should also import the textures that you want to actually apply to your finished mesh. Just like idtech, Unreal 3 uses multi mapped materials. You require at least a diffuse image (a coloured texture image), and probably a normal map and specular map image too. Unlike idtech, these game materials are put together inside the editor. No more hand making scripts in

Or ‘miss-mapped’ polygons) in the UVW mapped. sections.UVW map. as applied in Blender using LSCMMesh split into corresponding sections (approximate) to match UVW’s Once this is done it’ll free you up to just concentrate on getting the relative sizing right for each section. It’s worth noting here that you *always* get miss-aligned textures and you can never match UVW maps up edge to edge, the mesh geometry makes that impossible (obviously this depends on the mesh itself). What you end up doing is more akin to ‘damage limitation’; doing the best with what you’ve got.!Exporting The Models To ASESo the UVW map. is done, the texture is approx. the same resolution and same orientation over the whole mesh which means it’s ready for export. If you want to leave the mesh ‘as-is’ it’s then just a question of exporting from Blender to ASE using the USMase-exporter or the new script by goofos. It’s a good idea to initially export the mesh as one object like this to give you a ‘final’ version to work with inside the caulk box back in Radiant/GtkRadiant, you’ll be able to check that the positioning and relative sizing is OK. Doing this now means you can tweak the mesh and go back and forth between the two to make sure it’s doing what you want without to much fiddling with numerous mesh sections you may have it you cut it up.Design notes: it’s at this point that the original brushwork template created in the game editor comes back into play. If you’ve done everything correctly, when you open the model in the editor it should sit exactly on top of this brushwork template, which now provides a structural ‘backbone’ to the map allowing it to be compiled without ‘leaks’. Incidentally the brushwork can now re-textured in caulk so you don’t get any z-fighting issues where model and brush surfaces occupy the same plane/surface.AlphaMOD Texture Blending & ASE ModelsNext comes the fun part… which I didn’t know you could do until I read a forum topic a fellow mapper started on (the now defunct) Map Center. Mesh Editor Meshes VS Real Meshes Mesh editor uses multiple wedge parts in order to create the mesh where real meshes are a single object with vertex data there are upsides and down sides to each type of mesh. Edit or note pad!So with all our custom assets imported lets go to the next step. If you are not intending to use custom materials you do not need to follow this stage, but for the sake of completeness I will cover the process of creating a new material.Make sure in the selection menu materials and textures are ticked. Right click on the required texture image and select Create New Material.Un-tick textures so only your material is showing and right click on that. Now select the Material Editor. This opens a new window as shown below. Depending how many images your material has, you will need to drag a number of Texture Sample boxes out of the right hand menu. You need to add a texture to each Texture Sample box. Drag the Material Editor window to one side and select the texture image (re-tick the texture box in the generic browser left hand menu). Then go back to the Material Editor window. Select a Texture Sample box. At the bottom of the window find the line that says Texture, at the moment it will say none. Click on the little green arrow at the end of that line. The selected texture in the Generic Browser will be added to the Texture Sample box.Nearly there! Now on each on the texture sample boxes, left click and drag the little black tab to the relevant node on the left hand menu (diffuse image to diffuse node, for example)Repeat that process for each texture stage, then we have a basic game material! My model had 5 materials, so I had to create 5 separate game materials in preparation for my model.Ground work done, go into the generic browser and right click on your mesh and select Static Mesh EditorUnlike my image above, your mesh will be showing up textured in light and dark grey 'checker board' textures, which is the default 'no texture found' image for Unreal 3. The Static Mesh Editor will show up in a new window. For the sake of quickness I have checked useSimpleRigidBodyColision. Perhaps the most simple way to set. Convert a Static Mesh into a Skeletal Mesh in Unreal Editor for

When avatar facial animations are playing.)Build the Mesh:Z-fightingThe mesh for your Accessory can end up being very close to the mesh for the avatar asin the case of earrings, glasses and watches. However, if they are too close you may get Z fighting (or shimmering) in IMVU. It is worth testing in a Create Mode Editor. If you see Z fighting in an Editor, you will see it in IMVU.To correct that shimmering effect, you ought to pull your Accessory goemetry away from the avatar mesh. I typically do this in edit geometry: vertex mode so that I only need to adjust the vertices that are actually causing the problem.Build the Mesh:Weight the Mesh There are some tips specific to Accessories that could help you.The first is that if you are building something that is meant to move with one bone only (Glasses, Earrings, etc.), weight all of your vertices to that bone in the ACCESSORY SKELETON. Remember, if you are weighting all of your verts to one bone, then you can use the Skin weighting modifier (which is much easier to use than the Physique weighting modifier.)The second tip is that your Accessory mesh should never be weighted to any bones in the avatar skeleton. Your Accessory has its own skeleton (which you just created). If you weight your accessory to anything but the accessory skeleton, it will not work.Map the mesh To learn more about how to apply mapping coordinates to your mesh, please go to the Mapping Materials Tutorial. Although an Accessory can use as many Materials as necessary, remember to keep your textures as small as possible.Accessory AnimationsSince Accessories contain their own skeletons, they can have animations. Even more, since they also contain meshes, they can also contain morph animations. It should be noted, though, that “under the hood” an Accessory product is really an “Avatar Attachment”. This means that the Accessory is linked to Avatar in a few ways. The first is the most obvious: as your avatar moves around a 3D scene, any accessories worn will also move with that avatar. The second link has to do with animations. An accessory can utilize the same system that calls animations triggered by the IMVU avatar.Avatar Animation SystemAn Accessory can “utilize the system that calls animations triggered by the IMVU avatar”?!! How does that work? The IMVU avatar can play three classes of Actions:Idle ActionsStance ActionsTriggered ActionsThe first two are very close in definition but #1 has the addition of having a hard coded instruction for blinking.A stance animation is dictated by a room or furniture seat node. For example, if a seat node is named seat01.FloatinInWater, then the IMVU code wants to play an animation called

Incidentally the brushwork can now re-textured in caulk so you don’t get any z-fighting issues where model and brush surfaces occupy the same plane/surface.AlphaMOD Texture Blending & ASE ModelsNext comes the fun part… which I didn’t know you could do until I read a forum topic a fellow mapper started on (the now defunct) Map Center
