You can leave a spam group text message on an iPhone if all the recipients are using iMessage. If the recipients are a mix of iMessage and SMS users, you can block the sender or mute the conversation to eliminate notifications. Enable the iPhone's Filter Unknown Senders setting to reduce the noise about potentially unwanted messages. Spam text messages on your iPhone are an ever-present annoyance. If you're unlucky, you get frequent group texts offering free vacations and unwanted products, or announcing you've won bogus prizes like free cell phone service. No matter what the content, they're frustrating. Thankfully, you can manage your spam group texts — you can sometimes exit spam group texts, block senders, and even turn on a spam filter. How to leave or mute a spam group text on iPhoneOften, but not always, you can leave an unwanted group text message. To try to leave, do this:1. Open the spam text message.2. Tap the group icon at the top of the screen.Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Leave this Conversation. If all the recipients are using iMessage, you should see an option to leave the conversation. Dave Johnson/Insider That won't always work, though. You can only leave a conversation if all the recipients are using iMessage and if there are no fewer than three people in the thread. For a spam text, the number of people is rarely a problem, but often the recipients will be a mix of iMessage and SMS users. In that case, you can't leave, but you can do the next best thing: You can mute the message, so you won't receive notifications every time someone responds to it. 1. Open the spam text message.2. Tap the group icon at the top of the screen.3. Turn on Hide Alerts. Muting disables notification alerts for that specific conversation in Verizon Messages, but they are still delivered. Hi Mizchel45,We know saving your information is important. We can assist. To make sure your messages are synced across your devices, we store the messages you keep on your devices for up to 90 days. When you delete a message from one device, we delete it from our servers and also from your other devices. This syncing process may not be instantaneous. If you no longer want to use Integrated Messaging on any device, then you must unsubscribe in the app Settings to stop it from syncing and storing your messages. Deleting the Verizon Messages app from a device or switching to another messaging app, even the default messaging app on the device, won't stop the storage of messages unless you unsubscribe to Integrated Messaging in the Verizon Messages app Settings. I would recommend printing any messages that are still appearing on the computer per the computer could sync and the message will delete on the pc as well. Can I mute individual conversations on the Verizon messages app?

I have the Galaxy S8+ and I absolutely love using Message+ for all my texting... I've used it since I had the S6. But I've encountered a problem that I don't know how to solve, and Google search hasn't been very helpful. I muted a single conversation months ago, because my brother-in-law likes to spam my phone sometimes to be funny and annoying. I unmuted the conversation the next day and this is where my issue appears.Randomly over the months, Message+ will remute the conversation and I have missed important messages because of it. I have to keep undoing the mute, and it's become a habit to check every day and night to see if that infamous mute symbol is next to the conversation. I've tried deleting the entire conversation off my phone, tablet, and web. I've tried updating. I've tried switching to the default messaging program and then back to Message+. But, even with a brand new conversation with my brother-in-law, it will randomly become muted. Is anyone else experiencing this problem and how can I fix it? I'm becoming quite annoyed that nothing seems to be working.
