If your application does not work with the default settings, follow the steps below. Resolution Ensure that Power Management is not checked in Device Manager under Sensors. Use the COMPort_Assignment Utility to set the COM port # to what you require: Go to Scroll down to the COMPort_Assignment Utility section, then download and open the .zip file Run the ReAssignCOMPortNumb.exe file to install the utility Launch the application to Assign a ComPort (See Figure 2). Figure 2. COMPort Assignment Utility The Utility automatically finds your GPS port. Select the COM Port needed for your App, press Assign Com Port, and then Exit.
