Plazma (previously known as Slow Motion,1990–1999) is a Russian musical group consisting of Roman Chernitsyn(vocals, lyrics, music) and Maxim Postelniy(background vocals, keyboards, music and arrangements).Roman and Maxim were born and grew up in the hero city of Volgograd, where they created the Slow Motion duo right after school, which over the years of its existence has received the status of the most popular group in the city. Firstly, Roma and Max are big fans of progressive Western music, the lion’s share of which is performed in English. Secondly, they believe that Russian-language music is practically unknown abroad, as a result of which Western listeners get the impression that there are no bands making high-quality music in Russia.Having achieved local recognition, the band attracted the attention of the capital’s record companies and soon after the release of the Prologue album went to Moscow for further development, where they were able to conclude a five-year production contract with Dmitry Malikov, who began to provide sponsorship, advertising and concert support, as well as to provide their own production center for use, without participating in the writing of the band’s songs.
