Google's latest Chrome update has disabled several widely used ad-blocking extensions, including uBlock Origin. This comes with the search giant moving to a new extension framework, Manifest V3. The update is being rolled out to improve security and privacy, but it has also removed key functionalities that ad blockers rely on.On Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), people reported Chrome disabling older extensions. A notification appears under the extensions tab in the browser's taskbar, informing users that the add-on has been turned off and is no longer supported.Manifest V3: Google's new extension frameworkManifest V3 is Google's updated standard for Chrome extensions. It aims to improve security, privacy and performance. The company states that the changes aim to reduce the risks of malicious extensions and limit potential data abuse. But the update also restricts the ability of extensions to modify web requests, a feature essential for ad blockers.Key extensions disabledAs Google phases out Manifest V2, Chrome users are seeing popular extensions, including uBlock Origin, become obsolete. Best Firefox Extensions? : r/firefox - Reddit

I use reddit alot, and love how imagus makes browsing reddit much easier. a friend recommended that i use safari, since the browser doesnt drain the battery. Adguard AdBlocker - Great Content Blocker that uses native API, and still allows some customizations (whitelist, popular blocking list subscriptions, etc.) AutoPagerize - Automatically appends next page and saves you a click. With extensive support for popular websites, youll be able to. I recently got myself a macbook pro and i wanted to use Chrome as my main browser, I got tired of charging my mac multiple times a day. Here's my current list: 1Password - Companion extension for 1Password, I use it alongside with Safari password manager. 上記を正しく行うと、ソフトウェアは正常にインストールされます。 3:使用方法 HoverSee for Safari - Windows PCの場合 - Windows 7/8 / 8. Hover for Safari allows you to expand any image, link, or GIF just by hovering over it. Some browsers allow for some granularity in the permissions (like Firefox), whereas Safari takes an all or nothing approach, requiring permissions to be given to everything, even if the extension. The biggest problem I see with the app store and Safari extensions is that the gallery only lists a fraction of the extensions available and, as you say, doesn't allow for filtering or anything else. The exact permission text is different depending on which browser you are using, but the intent is the same and is controlled by the browser itself. An equivalent to Firefox's OneTab extension ( Tab Space ). With Safari you can browse sites, translate web pages, and access your tabs across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. A brief description is displayed with the preview when available Types of Enhanced Content: Thumbnail images (Facebook, Google, news sites, etc.) Links to image galleries (Flickr, Imgur, etc. Explore the web with lightning-fast speed, powerful privacy protections, and robust customization options. HoverSee Safari Extension (was HoverZoom) lets you hover your mouse over images or links to enlarge photos or to preview videos and websites. The user may simply hover on the item to zoom in to get an expanded view.. A Former User @leocg last edited by A Former User @leocg Thanks for the reply. I read that, but it doesn't specifically address my issue. As I said before, Linux Mint states in its release notes that Ubuntu telemetry is disabled, with Linux Mint being a spin of Ubuntu. Similarly, Opera is a Chromium spin. That Reddit thread I referenced includes the assertions of a few people who claimed that Chromium phones home to Google every time it is opened and also every now and then to verify if Chrome extensions are current. The IP address is passed along, at a minimum.Opera would have to specifically disable Chromium's phoning home, but the privacy policy does not address that. Opera's privacy policy states: "Some third-party sites may monitor data traffic from our products and services, such as numbers of hits and the search terms used." However, if the IP address is passed to Google, then it can track users. Also, it would seem that if a user installs "Install Chrome Extensions," then regular communication with Google would be conducted. though there is a simple fix for that: don't install it or Chrome extensions.I never use Google search. I use a variety of browsers, including Opera and Firefox, but never Chrome. I never surf while being logged into any website. But Google still remembers my old searches on Youtube even though I never use it while logged in.
