The turn-based digital board game will be available worldwide in Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese (both Traditional and Simplified). This game will feature characters from the historical Chinese Three Kingdoms era and its related folklores, such as Zhao Yun, Sun Shangxiang, Xiahou Dun, and Lu Bu. Players will be able to form their own armies with these leader characters. Each of them will also have unique skills and stratagems that play in a similar fashion to Koei Tecmo’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms strategy game series. Players will be able to test their skills with not only other people, but also an AI-powered CPU opponent. The AI in question will be GARYU from HEROZ, the company that also made the dlshogi AI which won the World Computer Shogi Championship twice consecutively. This will be the first time Koei Tecmo has released a new game for Apple Arcade worldwide. While a majority of the company’s games available regularly on Apple devices only appear exclusively in Japan, the first two Monster Rancher entries and the Atelier Resleriana mobile game are also accessible globally. The immersive RPG gameplay to the battles and politics, I absolutely LOVE this game and consider it the crown of the franchise. RTK13 is a major competitor but the lack of diverse endings or events puts 8 ahead, plus 8 is better balanced and more dramatic in all the right ways.0): Romance of the Three Kingdoms 7! This is my favorite, competing with 8 and 13 to keep the title. There is almost no flaw in this game whatsoever. From having the best use of the ocean in he franchise (perhaps the ONLY game to allow travel from Wu to Goguryeo) to fun technology system, epic battles, the best soundtrack (competing with 9), beautiful artwork, great endings (even if I almost always get bad ones lol), and a fun RPG as well. The only negative is that the officer play is fairly bare compared to later games, but that makes sense given its the first to try. 8 does being an officer under somebody else far better, but being a ruler (or prefect) is at its most fun in this game. RTK13 and 8 also do getting married and being familial better, but 7 just has the best gameplay all other things considered. Overall, I absolutely adore this franchise and would put 7, 8, and 13 at the very top of a series of all star games. Can't rate ones I haven't played though.
