2025-03-27Issues. Then it's just a matter of adjusting the harmonic to the fretted 12th fret so the adjusted fretted pitch matches the harmonic. #9 Joined May 10, 2007 Messages 211 I received the Music City Bridge Savvy tailpiece and installed it yesterday on my new Gibson Les Paul Special. After tuning, checking the relief, and having it at the right action, I'm trying to intonate it now. The high E is pretty much there but the low E is still sharp, even after really pushing the bridge out with the screw (as pictured). I can't imagine it needs to be this far out from the post, let alone even more since it's still sharp. Am I doing something wrong?View attachment 24998I had the same problem with first one I ordered. That was before their studs were available and the bridge tilted badly in the stock studs. I returned it. Recently I ordered two Savvys, and MCB studs, which effectively prevent the tilting. Problem solved. On both my Custom Shop Special and my USA Junior the intonation is dead on. If you didn’t order and install the studs right off, do it now. Then you’ll be happy. #10 Joined Jun 8, 2019 Messages 50 Since I posted (#45 above) I anecdotally read/heard that some of these later wraptail Gibsons have the studs positioned incorrectly to realistically intonate properly. Makes sense since I can get my '07 Melody Maker '59 Reissue bang-on with any of these bridges and can only get "rock n roll close" with the 2019 Original Collection Special. Fret-to-nut measurements on both my wraptail guitars are the same, but the bass side stud on the Special is 1/4-inch higher (closer to fretboard) compared to the MM and the treble stud is 1/8-inch higher. Given that fact, were the posts in the right place I think the Savvy would work perfectly with my Special....so in short it aint the bridge, it's the guitar. At least in my case. #11 Joined Jun 8, 2019 Messages 50 #12 Joined Sep 6, 2020 Messages 24 I was having trouble with stock bridge on my newly acquired used 2019 Gibson Special, 50’s construction Special in Heritage Cherry. The stock wrap bridge had intonation issues as well as string alignment problems, and an occasional Sitar type affect coming from the high E string. I purchased a Music City Savvy and locking studs and they made
