I’ve personally had a few rice cookers of all price categories - from a dirt cheap $10 rice cooker to a pricey Zojirushi.I would personally vouch for Zojirushi (or any rice cooker brand as long as it’s sealed, has a built in timer and a very slick non-stick surface) as being a must have gadget if you’re:lazy - it has a built in timer so you can throw your ingredients in and leave it. You can steam your rice and put stuff on the steamer tray so they cook at the same time, it’s not prone to burning, and can cook not just rice but soups, breads, porridge, among many other things. Non-stick means it also means even if you forget your rice, it almost never burns.have a disaster prone kitchen - people spilling water here and there, which is how my last 2 rice cookers died, water getting into those electrical components somehow. My zojirushi had a lid that stayed closed, keeping it safe from all sidesYou can leave something cooking in the morning, and it’ll keep it warm all day!Have a small kitchen and can’t fit an oven there. Rice cookers don’t take up a lot of space, and can be easily moved aroundI just really liked my fancy rice cooker
