Doubles down on milking you by not allowing your character animations and clothes to go between the MyCareer mode and MyPark mode. MyPark is where you can take your character online and play with other people in pick-up games. You may have sunk hundreds of hours into your character in MyCareer, upgraded their outfits and animations, but when you go to MyPark you have buy it all over again.Maybe it doesn’t matter because I’ve never really been a fan of MyPark mode. It’s NBA2k’s attempt to create more of a streetball atmosphere, conjuring up references to the infamous Rucker Park in New York. But 2k’s gameplay isn’t stylish enough to back up this streetball mentality. It’s just too much a sim to capture the off-kilter flavor of this kind of basketball.To their credit, the servers are smooth and you can get into a game fairly easily, though you’ll have to wait on the sidelines and watch a game usually before jumping into one. MyPark almost feels like it deserves to be a different game than NBA2k, one where it could enjoy a more robust community and gameplay tailored to its more outlandish style. NBA2k is just too stuffy to make MyPark work.My favorite mode remains MyGM, where you assume the role of an NBA general manager and try to guide your team to a championship while managing egos and finances. 02-19-2017, 12:30 AM #1 Rookie 2k17 fantasy draft question So in past iterations of 2k I loved starting a myleagr or association and, adding maybe 5 or 6 historical teams (usually replacing a few trash teams with no real good players on them) and then having a fantasy draft. It was awesome, I'd get teams with LBJ and Payton or Jordan and CP3, stuff like that. But in 2k17, it doesn't appear to give me the option to have only players from teams in the league, in the draft. If I go with the add historical players option, it adds EVERY historical player from every team, meaning I end up with the top 5 picks of the draft being MJ and having a ton of duplicates (which is goddamn stupid, why 2k would even have that option is beyond me, who'd want to play a league with 5 Jordans?) and none of the other options seem to have a way where I can include players from the teams that I specifically add to the league. Am I missing or overlooking something? I hope I am, because this is one of my favorite things to do in 2k. I also edited the ages of current players (like CP3) and made them 20-22 so they all have long prime years.
